Newnan-Coweta History Center

Kendrick "Taj" Stephens, a Newnan native, serves as the Museum Manager at the Newnan-Coweta History Center & McRitchie-Hollis House Museum. With a deep connection to his hometown, Taj is devoted to safeguarding and showcasing the rich culture of Coweta County with his involvement in Newnan’s annual Black History Program, the Scottish Sister City Celebrations and has been responsible for an increase in museum memberships over the last year. Taj studied Music Therapy at the University of Evansville and Vocal Performance at Columbus State University. Drawing from his expertise in visual merchandising, interior design, and theater production, he plays a vital role by creating compelling exhibits, educational initiatives, and interactive events engaging Newnan’s 6 historic districts. Taj invites visitors to explore the stories and traditions that have shaped his community.
