Job Description:
Crimson Therapy Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children. You will work with a diverse pediatric population, providing therapy services that help improve the lives of children and support their families through individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children with speech and language delays, articulation disorders, auditory processing disorders, and other communication issues.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to develop goals and treatment strategies that support the child’s overall development.
- Utilize a variety of therapy techniques and interventions, including play-based and evidence-based approaches, to foster communication skills.
- Provide direct therapy in one-on-one and group settings.
- Use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when necessary to assist children in communicating more effectively.
- Regularly monitor and document the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate parents and caregivers on effective strategies to support their child’s communication goals at home.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and continuing education in pediatric speech therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status.
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably with children ages birth to 18.
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and childhood disorders.
- Ability to develop strong rapport with children, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AAC devices and systems.
- Familiarity with sensory integration, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other developmental disorders.
