Meetings: Monthly, 2nd Fridays at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber
The Chamber’s Public Policy Committee interacts with government officials and business leaders on issues of interest and importance to the business community, with the goal of promoting a strong local economy. The Public Policy Committee is responsible for developing the Chamber’s annual Policy Agenda, creating and distributing contact information for elected officials, and for coordinating member participation in the following activities:
- Dome Roam – A day at the state capitol building in Atlanta to visit with elected officials from the Coweta County area and discuss issues related to economic development and prosperity.
- Washington Fly-In — A two-day visit to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, along with representatives from Chambers of Commerce throughout the country, to present a pro-business message to Senators and Representatives and to learn about business and economic issues that are at the national forefront
- Eggs & Issues – A local briefing hosted by the Chamber in which state and national policymakers talk about issues of particular interest to the Coweta County constituency.
- Candidate Forums – Election-year forums in which candidates for local or state-level pubic offices are invited to share their ideas and platforms.
